Salzburg Airport Supports its Support Team

Salzburg Flughafen GmbH (SFG) celebrated its 85th anniversary in 2011. Austria’s largest regional airport now handles approximately 1.7 million passengers each year. As the number of passengers and flights has increased over the years, the number of workers and employees at Salzburg airport has also risen. On the busiest days of the year, the total number of permanent and temporary staff comes to around 500.

My colleagues could no longer work effectively with our old support system, so we started to look for a new solution. It was important to us to introduce a tool that would both manage our asset data and help us to handle support cases”, explains Josef Kert, IT manager.

The hotline team chose OMEGA’s solution and put together a project team to introduce myCMDB, enter the asset data and assist the support team in its day-to-day work.

Our aim was to replace our old software tool and get the new system up and running, so that my colleagues in support would be able to process enquiries quickly again. We’ve achieved our goal, and now we’re looking to see what other opportunities myCMDB can offer us.
